Prayer, learning and mission in 2013

We've just started a new season of Thursday prayer room and community meal.

We're also having an adult Bible discussion and prayer time on Saturdays at 3.30pm.  We're learning about the Jesus and the kingdom of God, and considering ways that we can go and share this with others.

Joining in with Colchester Boiler Room Community in December and January

Here are some of our activities together in December and January;

Carol Singing around the neighbourhood, with mince pies and Christmas stories afterwards.
Sunday 23 December 3pm at 170 Berechurch Road.

Carols and Christmas stories and prayer on Christmas Day 10.30 - 11.30 at 170 Berechurch Rd.
Children can bring your new toys to show us..
No prayer gathering after Christmas Day until Sunday 6 January.

Sunday 6 January - Prayer Pilgrimage to different homes.  Meet 12 noon at 170 Berechurch Road.

Saturdays 12, 19 and 26 January Prayer Room open 12noon - 12 midnight.  4pm gathered prayer. 5pm shared teatime.

Sunday 20 January 6pm for 6.30pm Abbeyfield Community Project Annual Service, St Stephens Church Centre, Canterbury Road.

Look out for an allotment session in January...!

Wednesday 3pm allotment and prayer.  Otherwise, we're having break from scheduled prayer and activities during August

Weekly meetings in April

This Saturday 14 April is our monthly prayer room night. Tea together from 5pm at 170 Berechurch Road. Then take a slot in the prayer room, open until midnight.

There's no Sunday meeting on Sunday 15 April.

God Story, prayer and worship, Kid's God Story and Sunday lunch together on Sunday 22 April from 12noon at 170 Berechurch Road.

No Sunday meeting on Sunday 29 April.

Monday noon prayer, Thursday 1pm prayer and Wednesday 6.30am prayer continue every week.

Easter update

Here's some times to connect with Colchester Boiler Room Community;

Messy Church Good Friday 2pm for children and families. Easter story, egg hunt, prayer and more! at 170 Berechurch Road.

Passover meal and Passion of the Christ film, Good Friday from 7pm at 170 Berechurch Road.

Easter Day beach trip and brunch. Meet 10am at Jim and Liz's house, West Mersea. Lifts from 170 Berechurch Road at 9.30am.

Next Prayer Room Saturday 14 April, with tea from 5pm.....

Changes to prayer and meeting rhythm over the next couple of weeks

Due to people being away;

There's no Monday prayer for the nations until Monday 26 March.

No Thursday prayer on 15 March. Thursday prayer is now at 1pm from 22 March onwards.

There is Boiler Room meal at 170 Berechurch Road at noon on Sunday 11 March.

On Sunday 18 March there is lunch together at Antoinette's.

The next Saturday prayer room is Sat 24 March.

Prayer Room on 3rd December, no noon prayer Thursday 24 November

There's no noon prayer this Thursday 24 November.

However, we are still opening the prayer room noon - midnight on Sat 3 December. So drop me a line to sign up for a slot mail@colchesterboilerroom.org.uk

Our next time together is Messy Church on Sunday 6 November, 2pm - 3.30pm for children and families.

We're also planning a 12 hour prayer room on Saturday 3 December.

Thanks to everyone who helped and joined in with Messy Church on Sunday. It was great to a have large team of helpers, giving a warm welcome to the 17 neighbours who came. hurray!

There's no midday prayer at 170 Berechurch Road on Thursday. But there is God Story, prayer and Sunday lunch on Sunday.

And join in the prayer during October and November.

Daily Prayer at Quadriga Tuesday 20 September

Our noon prayer is prayer walking and delievering invitations on Quadriga tomorrow. We're meeting at 12.30pm at Salisbury Avenue.

So no noon prayer at 170 Berechurch Road tomorrow.

New times in the Colchester Boiler Room Community rhythm of prayer

We're excited to report two new prayer times as part of our rhythm of prayer;

One is prayer walking in the Abbey Field neighbourhoods at 12noon on Tuesdays. Contact Rich on mail@colchesterboilerroom.org.uk for meeting places.

Another is the sex workers and human trafficking group praying regularly in neighbourhoods around Colchester. Contact Katy on mail@colchesterboilerroom.org.uk for more info on this prayer time and action group.

In order to make time and energy for these new times, the noon prayer at 170 Berechurch Road is now stopped on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Sunday lunch and daily prayer starts again at 170 Berechurch Road from Sunday 19 June.

Prayer Room for the needs of people on the margins 28 May

We're hosting a prayer room for the needs of people on the margins on Saturday 28 May 12noon - 12midnight.

There'll be inspiration to pray for the needs of homeless people and ex-prisoners, among others. There'll be individual prayer slots and some group prayer times.
