Planned Boiler Room Activities Winter 2006

Christmas 24/7 Prayer Room
Saturday 16 December 6pm to Saturday 23 December 6pm 2006

We're seeking to run a Colchester town centre prayer room in the run up to Christmas. We've picked this time of year because the town centre will be busy with people, and people are thinking about Jesus more at this time of year than other times. It's also an important time to be praying for church leaders and church activities at this busy time for them.

We'll need help with finding a venue, planning the prayer room, setting up, staffing the prayer room and resourcing the prayer room. (The prayer room may cost £100 to run.)

Please keep time free over this period to support the prayer room. Please contact us if you'd like to help with planning and setting up the prayer room.

24/7 Prayer Room at St Stephen's Church, New Town.
Sunday 28 January to Sunday 4 February 2007

We've been invited to support the prayer room planned at St Stephen's. Looking forward to it!

Prayer Room to support Shockwaves (prayer for the persecuted church)
Friday 2 March to Sunday 4 March 2007

24-7 UK is encouraging prayer rooms across the UK at this time to pray for the persecuted church around the world.

Again we'll need a venue....and help planning the prayer room, setting up, staffing the prayer room and resourcing the prayer room. (The prayer room may cost £50 to run, if it's a weekend prayer room.)

and also Boiler Room Community development....

Also, during winter 2006 we are trying to set up a Council of Advisers, drawn from leaders across the church in Colchester. They will advise the leaders of the Boiler Room Community on community structure and further action.

Also, the core Boiler Room Community members will be meeting to talk about how we can act out our vision for prayer, mission, social action, creativity, hospitality and study.
